Joshua has been in NextGen since the 1990s. The data dictionary has been his browser home page for 15 years. The SQL schema is not a lookup. Practices and health systems hire M&K when charts have to land in Epic, or come out of it, and when PDMP, immunizations, labs, and device feeds have to keep running.
What we do
Hundreds of successful conversions to and from Epic, NextGen, Greenway, Allscripts, Veradigm, Athenahealth, Meditech, Sunrise Clinical, Amazing Charts, SoapWare, Siemens Signature Gold, related practice-management systems, and any software that resides in a database. Charts, documents, appointments, charges, future orders, and an SSRS archive so the old chart is still there after the source system goes dark.
Custom channels in JavaScript and SQL: PDMP (prescription drug monitoring), state immunization registries (IIS / VXU), labs, billing, and cardiac device IDCO. Built so you can operate them after we leave.
In NextGen since the 1990s: pre-KBM through latest KBM 8, EPM, templates, upgrades, SSRS, Crystal, SSIS. Custom stored procedures are in demand: concatenate display (stored procedure macros) that turn grids into paragraphs, dashboard feeds, conversion loads, the jobs the vendor report will not do. CMS, HEDIS, and NCQA reports off the live chart, not a warehouse guess. The SQL tables (person, patient_encounter, order_, patient_documents, person_payer, payer_mstr, lab_results_obx) are already known, not looked up.
Featured interface
We built a Mirth channel that takes IHE IDCO HL7 from pacemaker and ICD programmers (Biotronik, Medtronic, St. Jude) and lands discrete observations, leads, and a NextGen encounter instead of a PDF in a pile.
Remote vs in-clinic traffic is split, patients are matched, and the chart gets the interrogation the device clinic can actually use. An abnormal or out-of-range reading shows on the pacemaker dashboard and opens a NextGen task to a nursing task group for patient follow-up. See the write-up on Work.
