M&K Consultants Healthcare IT

About

NextGen since the 1990s. SQL tables like the back of a hand. Epic is what people call for now.

M&K Consultants, LTD is the healthcare IT practice of Joshua Gross. Three decades in the NextGen schema, conversions that actually find the data, Mirth for PDMP, immunizations, and devices.

Joshua Gross

Joshua has been in NextGen since the 1990s — before KBM had a name, through every content generation into the latest KBM 8, EPM, and the SQL Server database underneath. He knows the tables the way a mechanic knows an engine: person, patient_encounter, order_, document, payer and insurance, the KBM assessment and template libraries, the blob and document stores vendor extracts skip. When a health system is leaving NextGen for Epic, that is the difference between a usable chart and a demographics dump.

The work has been hospitals and IDNs, FQHCs, cardiology device clinics, orthopedics, ENT, dermatology, pediatrics, family medicine, and large public-health settings — solo providers through organizations with more than a thousand. Same through-line: make the data land where the organization is actually going, make the interface stay up, and do not leave a mess for the next person.

He is NextGen certified (2025) and ServiceNow certified (2025), based in the Denver / Lakewood area, and works remotely nationwide.

How we work

Short written scope before hours start. Access on a need-to-know basis. No PHI on this website, no screenshots of live charts, no client names without permission. You get channels, scripts, and documentation you can keep — not a mystery process that only works while we are on the call.
